Windows Mobile facing tough competition

Seattle PI’s Microsoft blog is reporting that Windows Mobile market share shrunk as iPhone sales surpassed Windows Mobile phones for the first time.

For the first time, iPhone sales surpassed those of phones loaded with Windows Mobile software, both worldwide and in North America, according to Gartner. An earlier report from Canalys also showed that iPhone sales had surpassed Windows Mobile during the quarter.
